My friends Paul and Connie were at the Sip n Dip lounge in Great Falls Montana with my friend Alan. The Sip n Dip has a glass wall with a pool over the bar, where girls dressed as mermaids swim and take pictures with tourists. Paul and Connie told their small children that it was a secret, so don't tell anyone, but Alan has been working part-time as a merman to make ends meet. As they were telling me this story from years back, their now-16-year-old daughter looked confused and said "Wait, that wasn't true?" A true and loyal friend, she had been keeping Alan's secret for years! Alan is also an avid fisherman, so the picture practically drew itself. Truly one of the best fish stories I've ever heard.
